The Friends of Boston Latin Academy, Inc., was incorporated in 2008 to support the educational and programmatic objectives of Boston Latin Academy. It is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) corporation.
The board of directors for 2015-2016 is:

- Tina Cole, treasurer, parent of a student in the class of 2017
- Kamini Williams, secretary, parent of students in the classes of 2017 and 2021
- Carol Batte, parent of a student in the class of 2017
- Nancy Lo, parent of a student in the class of 2017 and 2021

On Thursday evening, April 28, the Friends of BLA will host its first annual spring fundraising reception for BLA, with food, cash bar, raffles, and an auction at Northeastern University.

The Friends of BLA is a non-profit organization charged with raising money to fund Boston Latin Academy’s greatest financial needs.
Every November, the Friends of BLA asks the BLA community to make a tax-deductible donation to support the school and benefit each and every student. If each family contributes to BLA, in any amount, our students will benefit through enhanced technology and improved academic and extracurricular resources.
You can give securely through the Friends of BLA site on Razoo.com or you can use the payment envelope attached to your student’s report card.

The Friends of BLA funded many items in the 2014-2015 school year. These included agenda books for all Sixies and Beezies, math software, books, science kits, school-musical licensing expenses, and scholarships. The organization also provided mini-grants to support clubs and activities, including Certamen, the science fair, the poetry slam, the sports banquet, mock trials, and the world languages bazaar.
