We are honored to have had many educators from the United States and other countries visit our school, including Fulbright exchange teachers and a team of principals from China. We typically conduct “Instructional Rounds” with these guests.
Instructional Rounds are an opportunity for guests to see our school by visiting multiple classrooms in one day, staying for 15-20 minutes in each class. Before conducting our rounds, we allow guests to meet with a team of faculty who provide them with an overview of our school. We also explain how to conduct the classroom visits and what to look for in our instructional practice. Later, we have a conversation with our guests about their observations. This practice has been extremely valuable to us as we strive to improve our teaching. We try to make sure it is a valuable discussion for our guests as well.
